The classic Mother commercial aired in 1989 for the Famicom/NES.This is the game that never came to America. It is often referred to as "EarthBound Zero" or "EarthBound NES". The team that made this game ended up making the famous Pokemon series. The song featured in the commercial is included in the soundtrack.

    This commercial, by the way, has nothing to do with Pokemon. If you think it lacks imagination and is too short, then you shouldn't badmouth it 'cause you don't know what you're talking about and therefore should not talk.

    I wonder if people who say "earthbound sucks" even really ever played it. It does not suck. Trust me, I've played some rather crappy games in my time and Earthbound is not one of them.

    bad ass...itz short,sucks,lack of imagination,heck i can make the commercial in 30 seconds without even thinking!!! but thx for showing us tht!!! shows us the lack of imagination the pokemon makers had...big leap form then to now!
