Finally, the Korean MMORPG Mabinogi Heroes for PC has been announced for closed beta testing! The 1st round of testing will start on March 15, 2009 Korean time. This will have an alternate storyline to the original Mabinogi and will have different gameplay possibly featuring realistic factors such as decreased stat penalty from wounds. DevCat, a studio part of Nexon, has shown their great potential once again with Mabinogi Heroes Translation: Wind was blowing hard on this rough desolated land. Humans established villages to survive. There was a reason for villagers to live. It was for the legend. Everyone lived on holding this legend deep inside their blazing heart. One day, they shall be at Erinn. One day, they shall arrive in a paradise. For this promise, they awaited for long years. A goddess who shall deliver them from Fomors: Morrigan. It was said she has onyx wings. No one recalled how long they have waited for the goddess. They only remembered the legend and the promise. Obliterate Fomors. Their blood shall reveal the gate to Erinn. On that very day when the last drop of blood is shed, the goddess will stand before you with her outspread wings.
