What I Liked:
I was a bit surprised at the five star reviews, and I wondered if we were watching the same series. To me, this series truly IS average at best. What I liked Kang Dae Gu's character. He was funny =), and the actor kind of grows on you.

I laughed at the very first episode when Kang Dae Gu said he was attractive (I mean, he had an afro, which isn't exactly attractive to me), but now I can kind of agree =].
Lee So Ran was originally also a very funny, and very amusing, character. I loved the mummy parts. Those were hilarious!
What I Did Not Like:
Usually I find dramas a bit too slow at first, and I was waiting for myself to warm up to this series, but I only grew colder. Maybe it was how the player continually paused on me, but this is one of the few dramas I never really finished. I stopped around episode 7, which could make someone dubious about whether or not my review is accurate, but this is simply my perspective of watching this series. What I did not like was the story line.

First of all, in the last episode I saw, Kang Dae Gu was starting to confess his feelings for Merry. Originally, he had simply wanted to kick her out of the house he was living in, by creeping her out. But now, he was really starting to like her. To me, it was a huge gaping plot hole. They were so annoyed by each other at first, and now Kang Dae Gu could not keep his hands off her, even though he now became a model. It was really silly. Comparing it to I Really Really Like You, when the two main romantic prospects start to warm up to each other, this series just really fails.
It's a hard thing to pull off when two people who were originally enemies are now becoming lovers, and I'm sorry to say that Merry Mary could not pull that off.
Second, the characters became really sour for me. Lee So Ran went from being the comic relief to being ANNOYING. Merry transformed in a similar way, except that she was a little annoying in the first place! Kang Dae Gu was an interesting character, but he began to grow bland. Do-Jin was kind of boring from the start, though he was a
bit amusing.
Finally, the acting was good, but it was also a bit mediocre. There were some times when Merry's actor became a bit irritating.
The characters were kind of bland, and though they are good from the start, it wears off. It's like the opposite of sour patch kids, I'm sorry to say, it's SWEET, then it's SOUR
