May not be groundbreaking, but gave me everything I want from a cute slice of life anime.
Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club tells the story of Maiharu Hiromi who has just moved to Nagasaki. She decides to ride her bike on her first day of school, only to discover it's not as easy as she remembers it being. That's the bulk of the episode, her journey to her first day of class while struggling with remembering how to ride her bike. There is not a whole lot to the plot, but ...

Outstanding environmental animation, decent character development, plot is lacking
The visuals of Kamakura are stunning. The characters could use more attention to their speech animations but is otherwise acceptable. The plot is predictable with Maiharu Hiromi moving to a new town and starting a new school with the typical new high school school girl anxieties. She shows herself of being incapable of riding a bike, which isn't explained to the end when her mother states that ...

    Anime and going the distance
This series flows on the same style as K-ON or BAKUON. Girls from different walks of life joining a high school club.Together they find Friendship and adventure. I would of given this a three star rating. But The art is exceptional, and the tutorials on cycling to inspire girls to get out and get active. Give this series the extra star. If there is a second season it will be interesting to see ...

Just Enjoy the Ride. . .
Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club seems immediately familiar, probably because of the fact that BAKUON!! aired barely a year ago. And while BAKUON!! dealt with motorcycles rather than bicycles, the themes and storylines are nonetheless quite similar: the shared activity of cycling nurtures a growing sense of camaraderie between high school classmates (all girls) ...

    It really it pretty great!
I am actually really liking this show. Im not the good at writing reviews but for this one I had to give it some praise as it reminds me of going on adventures when I was a kid with my bike. Love this slice of life and I would deff recommend it. charm and child hood strings.

  • Did not expect it to be Inspiring
I would give this one a 4-1/2 star, I like this anime because it was different and inspiring.
If you enjoy bike riding or have in the past along with the adventure of traveling then you may want to check it out. I do enjoy the fact that the drama level is very low.

  • Ride with a smile!!!
The show really surprised me. I can tell you it's good hearted, optimistic and just plain out cool. Yeah it's another happy go lucky anime but it's a good anime. Seeing the girls meet, talk about bikes and show their interest in bikes plays out really well. I'm only at a point where the girls are trying out different bicycles but I'm eager to see just how far along they go. Oh yeah J.C. Staff ...

Girls ride bicycles. Again. Yay... I guess
Cycling is actually one of my few big hobbies and their are a lot of "hobby" anime but they rarely overlap with my interest. After I petered out on last season's Long Riders, I was hoping for something a little more interesting and fulfilling but it just meandered too much and felt bogged down by the typical high school club genre tropes echoed constantly in the past decade. I was ended up giving ...

    Horrible and 1 good point
EDIT: Why do people give 5 stars to series they know is halfway decent? You tell me.

You can take this review as gospel, because I'm pretty sure I'm the only real reviewer here. Basically I tell you why not to watch it, and then tell you it's good point at the very end.

ぶっちゃけーThis show is trash. Straight up. Japanese teenagers learning about different bikes, how to ride, etc. in high school? ...
