  • A beating heart beneath the scales!
You think you know what you're in for with a series like this. Powerful, magical creatures get stuck on Earth and suddenly have to live mundane lives alongside humans, and hijinks and hilarity ensue. This show certainly delivers on that front, and with all the fanservice and moe that you might expect.

But then it plays with the dials a bit. You get an MC that is female for once, and acts like ...

  • Watched It Five Times
The defiantly upbeat and inspiring score and the adorable uplifting sequence of this show's intro say pretty much everything Kyoto Animation wants you to know about Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Besides being moe and slice of life, this show is also a masterpiece of combining comedy with action, and hiding behind all of this a reverse-isekai story where various creatures from another world come ...

  • A different type of anime
This was my first time watching a Anime were the main characters are females. I enjoyed the friendship between Tohru and Miss Kobayashi. The young characters were so adorableee!!! It's sweet and funny. I always enjoy Anime with a lot of colors and this one did not disappoint.

  • Fun, heartwarming, touching, cute!
I held off watching this because it just seemed like it would be lame. But it really is both fun and heartwarming. The situations are over-the-top but the emotions are real. I've finished the first season, and the last episode was very touching. Not sure if there's more they could do with a second season, but I'm up for it if they do. Go along for the ride and enjoy it! And did I mention cute?

  • For such a great maid, she brings nothing to the table.
I watched the first three episodes, then skipped around a bit to confirm my suspicions. Nothing in this show had the smallest hint of originality. I had seen all of this before, the episode structure, the characters, the settings, the jokes, everything. This show just takes other aged formulas and simply plugs a plot device into them. Disappointing, and not worthwhile.

  • A Solid Show About Quaint Stuff
Not a lot of tension or drama here folks, just people learning how to be friends and adapt to a new life. Honest, cute, and rather endearing, this is just a fun bit of distraction. The characters are all unique and you quickly find yourself involved in their domestic eccentricities. If you don't feel like taking things too seriously, then stop on in.

  • First CR review Excellent!
After exhausting Netflix and Hulu+ anime listings, I finally broke down and submitted to CR, as recommended to me years ago.

This anime was rather surprising, I have grown to be a fan of the more modern richer and cleaner animation styles, compared to this one which to me feels like a throwback to how it was around the turn of the millennium. (TBPH, I have a hard time re-watching anime's of my ...

  • I liked this. This was nice.
Side-character sexually harassing a kid aside, this was nice! I like the story of a jaded, unhappy OL getting her life transformed by love and shenanigans. A strong argument to all of us to accept chaos and love into our life. Animation, character work, writing, all work to make the case!

  • I loved it beginning to end! BUT GOD THE FEELS!
I have pretty low standards when it comes to any TV shows, but what made Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid stick out for me was the romance and comedy. If a show doesn't have any sort of comedy or at least a sweet and tender romance, it won't hold my interest long enough for me to watch it. I mean I liked every character, there aren't any real red flags, I just ignore the fan service, and always pay ...

  • Heartwarming Fantasy Slice-of-Life Anime
Miss Kobayahi's Dragon Maid is one of the best series' I've seen in a while. It's the perfect blend of slice of life and fantasy, and pretty much every episode is both heartwarming and funny. The characters are great, and the story flows really well despite being slice of life. Very memorable.
