In reality, in her mind, and probably if it was real life in most of ours as well, his mother didn't believe that her son, a kid really should be fighting in a war. Today that only happens in Africa, and thats pretty messed up.

There are at least two core fighters, one for the gundam and one for the white tank. Remember that both are componant type suits, with the core fighter being one of the componants.

@ Minhawn - yep, stupid as hell. Th director could at least instructed some people to draw Amuro in a different uniform. Or change the scenes so that the soldiers react somehow.
