    Amazing and captivating story.
This was amazing from the very beginning the pacing was slow, but that just added to the sheer awsomness that is "Moribitio". It had everything all wrapped in one beautiful package I was just blown away not only by the attention to detail, but the sheer sweep and scope of it all. Normally you would see this quality in a movie but never in a series. Kudos this deserves five stars and more!

My favorite anime series of all time
Seirei no Moribito seriously raised the bar for me on both animation quality and script quality. All--and I mean all of the characterizations--are superbly done, from Prince Chagum, the 11-year-old boy who's the Guardian of the Sacred Spirit (and both believable and likable), right down to the nameless Imperial Palace guards who still manage to stand out as individuals.

    And, most ...

Great show, good story, strong characters
If your looking for fan service then this is NOT the show you want to watch. This show does not use or need fan service to keep you interested!

The story itself is interesting and well thought out. The world the story is set in is fascinating and rich. I found the main heroin a strong and attractive woman of few words. The characters are well drawn and written. Combat is fast, furious and ...

One of the most consistent and GOOD animes I've ever seen.
I usually refuse to post a review or comment on any anime that I've watched, but after I finished this show, I have repeatedly reminded myself "I should really post a review telling people how good this anime is!"
I'm not going to write you a synopsis of the anime. I am going to tell you how it was completely different from what I expected, but in a wonderful way.
I have seen my fair share of ...

    Beautiful in every aspect
There's really nothing else quite like this out there; the characters and storyline are exquisitely crafted, and the world they inhabit is a stunning mixture of the natural and the mythical. The original story was written by an anthropologist, and it shows; the people who inhabit this world are eminently suited to it, with each variation in cultures stemming from geography and the quasi-mythical ...

    Truly Beautiful Animation
Seirei no Moribito is one of the few anime that does fight scenes well. the animation is crisp and the movement of the characters are fluid. It is a pleasure to watch, and the overall story is pretty good too. One of the best anime series since Cowboy Bebop, and that means quite a lot coming from me.

    Moribito: A Truly Hidden Gem
This is one of the most well done animes I have ever seen in my lifetime. Albeit my life has been shortly lived on this earth, Moribito is still the best I have yet to see. Ever since my first glimpse of the show on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim", Moribito was constantly on my mind. I had seen halfway through episode 8 while up at 2:00AM on "Adult Swim" when I knew I had to watch it all the way ...

    Maybe the Best Story Ever
Where to begin? While there is no such thing as a perfect story, Guardian (Moribito) comes so close that the distinction isn't worth mentioning. It takes, what could have been, stereotypical characters and situations and uses them in a way that's full of depth, emotion, and originality. Even those who are not Anime fans can still watch this, become engrossed, and come away feeling like it was a ...

Interesting view of old Japan with twist
If you enjoy Anime shows that portray the more traditional Japan with a twist you will love this. The animation is beautiful and the characters are interesting and easy to get attached to. There isn't a large number of episodes either so viewers that prefer shorter animes like myself will also enjoy this.

    exelent writing deep chars
with excellent character development and great writing i really enjoined this series. at first, it is difficult to understand the world and that it is not earth, not to mention how the kingdom works - but it is explained in time and its cool how the ideas unfold to explain all the things that are not fully understood right off the bat. it does start out fairly slow but the plot development is ...
