  • Strike while the iron's hot and victory will be a given!
This anime is full of action, suspense, death defying battles, and mysterious powers. This story is about Jinbei, a samurai in training that took his father's place to join the Insect Magistrate. This is his first time in the city of Edo so everything is new to him, even the friendship of a pretty girl. Right off the bat, his new friend is kidnapped by a insect that wants to make her into food! ...

  • Ausome show. watch it nwwwwww!
I was skeptical of the show at first but after a few episodes, im realy into it and it has become one of my shows I cant wait for the next episode to come out. You care about all of the other chacters and not just the protagonist. The protagonist in this show is also funny and humble. It does start out a little slow but that's just so you can get nw the characters. It picks up pretty fast after a ...

    Great show, great opening, recommend!
I love the opening, fighting, comedy, etc. The beginning is like any other series, it starts off introducing the characters and once its past that the first real arc begins and it was really good. The characters past are interesting and watching Jinbei grow and befriend anyone he respects makes it lighten the mood up a bit since there are giant insects slaughtering people. The anime shows a ...

  • Fun Anime With Room to Grow
Mushibugyo centers around a young warrior, Jinbei, who strives to kick butt like his dear old dad and grow up to destroy some bugs while rescuing a young barmaid or two. Unfortunately, in this world the bugs are normally bigger than trucks! While I've read some comments comparing this anime to Naruto, Bleach, and Hunter x Hunter in their early stages, I'm going to disagree. I've watched 13 ...

Big Swords, Big Boobs, Big insects. Why not?
Mushibugyo starts like all shonen series, it only really begins after a few episodes, so up until episode 9 or so ,it's pretty slow and kinda boring, but once your pass that, it goes balls to the wall crazy.

Almost everything is well done, from the interesting characters, to the art and the music. One of the only problems that I can see at this point is that, from time to time, they break the ...

    My favorite anime right now
It does start out slow and the immaturity of the protagonist does get a little old. So, the character development is a little slow but it does get better with the introduction of the insect magistrate. Stick with it....the story greatly improves. I'm hopeful they develop the relationship between the magistrate and him more...lots of potential there.

  • i hope that there will be more in the future =)
Well this will be my first review so here goes lol =)........ As others my have stated this kinda like a Naruto/ Bleach mix anime with that being said if you don't like either of those anime then you might not like this anime. But if you do i highly suggest it. First off id like to comment on the artwork of the anime itself don't let the cover art fool you the colors are more bold and there are ...

Need a Bleach alternative? Look no further...
So, I needed something to replace Bleach when it got cancelled and stumbled across Mushibugyo. I should preface this by saying that this anime is nothing like Bleach... that being said, here goes:

This seemed good at first, but just took a fun turn into the Bleach/Naruto Shippuuden territory at episode 11. Basically a fun "samurai w/ powers" style anime. Good character building, funny ...

This anime is great in later episodes
Through out the first few episodes of this anime the show had a trending backstory/ insect attack plot line but after episode ten or the stories real first arc it became an anime that I would watch over and over however if you do not enjoy shows such as Naruto or Bleach this may not be the show for you. I give it a four right now and I can't wait to see how the story progresses.
