A awesome funny random show!

My Ordinary Life is a great show that is pretty underrated. The characters are really likeable and the comedy is really funny although it can be hit or miss at times. Its story is completely random so watching it mainly for the comedy is your best bet. The Opening and Ending themes are really creative and have awesome music too. Check it out you wont be disappointed!

My Ordinary Life is one of the best anime I have watched so far. Though its storyline is a bit mixed up to where it doesn't really have one, it makes up for that by utilizing complete randomness to induce humor. In a sense, there really is no aim or goal or even a definite protagonist that would constitute as the basis for a good storyline. But the whole series is hysterical, and over-the-top dramatic, adding to the humor. The musical scores (Opening, ending, and BGM) are all very energetic and create a good environment for the scene at which it plays. Love the music! (wonder where I can get an Original Soundtrack...). All of the characters have their own "colors"; Keiichi Arawi had a very good imagination when he designed the cast. There are actually a total of six "main" characters: Yukko, Mio, Mai, Nano, Hakase, and Sakamoto. Other characters would include more absurd and odd traits such as "a boy who rides a goat to school, a girl that can procure various guns from thin air, a principal that wrestles a deer, and so on and so forth." The animation is very high quality, with every line defined seamlessly. A very good anime for those who need a good laugh. There are no explicit or obscene imagery so this would be great for a whole family to watch, that is, if your family doesn't mind anime... (mine does...)

I love this series!!

I recommend this series to just about anyone considering it. And probably people who are making the mistake of passing it over looking for an action series or who knows.

It didn't take long for me to fall in love with every one of the characters. They're all interesting and unique and they totally strike a chord of truth with me and my own experience with high school. I found this interesting since most of the characters are girls. I've read some of the other reviews and mention of a barrier to get hooked on the series. I think that's rubbish. Most of the humor is universal. I don't speak Japanese and I'm pretty ignorant of a lot of customs and culture references but I had no problem laughng at and enjoying just about every skit in the series.

One culture reference I'm curious about is people wearing giant egg masks and standing outside restaurants.

Anyway it's a great series and the first that has me wanting to read the manga if it's available in translation.

The Best Show You'll Ever Watch!

The Comedy in this is amazing. You can never guess whats going to happen next. They set it up just perfectly. I like the style of Animation.

The storyline and how it intertwines with other episodes is very clever. I always love to see what the background characters were actually doing.

Nichijou - Ordinary? not really, but that's what makes it great!

I find that I've had difficulty finding an anime that can make me laugh as much as 'Ninin ga Shinobuden', When I discovered Nichijou, my search was over. Don't get me wrong I loved shinobuden for it's crudeness, but at times it would get tiring. In Nichijou, they don't need to resort to crude humour to get good ratings and fans. It's a innocent anime.
It doesn't really have much of a story line, slice of life anime generally don't have a storyline. For anime like Nichijou it's not required, The quirkyness in Nichijou makes up for the lack of a storyline in Nichijou, the characters and the comedy will always keep you entertained.
Speaking of characters, I love the characters! They're original, each of them being funny in their own special way.
The animation was nothing special, but I liked the art style.
I recommend this anime for all people, when you just want to watch a light - hearted and innocent anime as well as have a few laughs.

Everything about this show is amazing, character,animation is was epic,the humor is amazing ( I'm still laughing about that nuclear trip).
I never enjoy something that much in my life before. Love this show!

If you're looking for a slice of life/comedy look no further. This show is an absolute joy to watch. There's not been one episode I've watched that I haven't been brought to tears laughing so hard. Lots of fun moments. Safe for all ages (No inappropriate scenes). I strongly recommend it.

What makes this series so... addictive, though, is it's amazingly unpredictable scenes. You've got just normal high-schooly crushes in one scene, then you see guns and salmon and the principal wrestling a deer and next thing you know, you have no idea what the crap is happening. ...

My Ordinary Life is one of those anime that in every scene will have you going WTF! It's one of the few anime that at the end of every episode had me wondering what it was i just watch but in a good way. If your looking for a good comedy you can't go wrong with this one. I highly recommend it.

A Pleasant Surprise!

I don't know what I was expecting to get from Nichijou. A few laughs, sure. Maybe even some food for thought. Whatever it was that I was looking for, though, I certainly wasn't prepared for what I got. And honestly, I'm skeptical of anyone who hasn't read the manga and says they knew what they were getting into.

If you're new to this series or you want to introduce it to someone, maybe ...

Whatever it was that I was looking for, though, I certainly wasn't prepared for what I got. And honestly, I'm skeptical of anyone who hasn't read the manga and says they knew what they were getting into.

If you're new to this series or you want to introduce it to someone, maybe you shouldn't bother with words. Watch the commercial for the OVA, let it lure you in for your taste for slice of life, then go see Episode One (the OVA is a little slow and not necessary for the rest of the series).

There will be a point within the first ten minutes or so at which I suggest you pause the video and go to your freezer. You'll need the ice for your whiplash. Once you're feeling better, go back and finish the episode.

And don't think the twists stop there. Nichijou has a lot of laughs for sure, but there's also a little bit of everything else. You want slapstick? Coming right up. Want adorability that will make you squeal like a little/littler girl? But of course! Want to see a goat get slammed into the pavement by a blue-haired high school girl on an embarrassment-fueled rampage? Well...okay, can do, but maybe take your medicine first?

So the series didn't sell all that well. Maybe the OVA is slow and a little boring. Nichijou still deserves a chance. Go ahead and give it that chance. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
