A hidden landmark in its genre
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU boasts quite the awkward title and its generic setting and promotional material make it easy to gloss over. The show itself, however, has a way of forcing the viewer to ignore any flaws it might have as they are blown away by its engaging dialogue and mysterious, layered characters. Its very nature makes it difficult to recommend: there's no easy way to summarize it. ...

    A life of a loner o.O
Seriously, i dont need to tell u to watch this, this anime is amazing and i highly recommend this to anyone who isnt social, basically a loner. The plot development scores 9/10, music scores a 7/10, and the animation scores 8.5/10. Just watch it and you wont regret it. The main character is a boy who meets two girls really and they solve community problems together and it has the best feeling ...

The most hated guy in Chiba has reached new levels of self-loathing.
I absolutely love Hachiman. The self-awareness, the inability to trust, the contempt of social customs, and his uncanny ability to break down social interaction into their most basic truth with a pessimistic slant. He embraces his weaknesses and wears them like armor. With his ability to analyze human interaction, only he is capable of manipulating events to lead to their most desirable ...

    Watch 'till the end!
To start this off: I fully recommend to watch this anime!!

That being said, the first season was great and did what it was supposed to do. It laid down the settings and characters and got us familiar with their personalities and how they interact with one another. Sure most of the side-characters seem to have their one-track personalities but all that gets tossed on its head in season two! ...

    My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
While, yes, this is clearly a Teen Romantic Comedy, I wouldn't say it's exactly a SNAFU. SNAFU stands for "Situation Normal: All F****ed Up", but there's nothing exactly "F***ed Up", as the title is so eloquently put, about it.

Hikigaya Hachiman, a 17 year old high schooler, who just happens to be quite a bit of a loner. Whilst I do have friends, I am quite the loner myself, since If I am in a ...

    good but needs more episodes
The characters are the strong point of the show with hachiman and yukino w/ the most unique personalities. The characters were really top notch and realistic and made me fall in love w/ this show. i initially thought this show would be some kind of boring harem (which is why it took me so long to finally watch it) but really it's not. It's a rom-com (with a love triangleISH) and a pretty good ...

A refreshing take on the Rom com genre.
Trying to take the typical approach to the Rom com genres this anime actually doesn't go that in depth with the actual romance, but it worked well and the anime was a solid watch. To be honest I always hate the idea of a stand alone Rom com anime due to the fact that there are never any interesting characters, or character development for that matter, but this anime surprised me with its tone, it ...

    First Impressions
When I first saw this anime I thought, where is this show going to go? All I knew was that there was a pessimistic protagonist Hachiman and a society that sees him differently than how he sees them.

    Plot 5/5
The story line is there is our main character Hachiman and he is a pessimist who thinks the world is a cruel place full of pain. ...

Doesn't really give you what you would expect but something different and more.
This was a pretty solid anime. If you're looking for a full on romantic anime, you're not going to get it from here. The comedy aspect is there alright, but not enough love plots to consider this show romantic. The main highlight of this anime is probably our anti-hero Hachiman and his interesting views of the world. This anime takes the social relationships in high school and make them more ...

a great series that suffered from a limited number of episodes
This anime series breaks away the stereotypical elements of all romantic comedies we all have seen and endured and dares to do something different, from the lack of a complete idiot for the main protagonist to the idea that not everything just magically falls together like some series show, SNAFU is one of the most close to home, realistic RomCom series out there. Unfortunately you see very ...
