  • Love it! Amazing anime.
Someone had posted a scene from the first episode on a forum, and I immediately fell in love with the clarity and artwork of the animation. After watching a few episodes I also fell in love with the story and its characters. Can't wait to see how it ends!

A masterpiece with a few loose pages.
It truly is amazing how inventive and colourful the animation is, drawing to life ultimately two worlds, one above the sea and another below yet conjoined and I cant fault the creators on that, the animation truly is a wonder too look at with such fine tuned details. The story centres around two groups of kids aged around 14 years old and is ultimately a middle school drama with an added twist. ...

    Nagi no Asukara first look
So I recently started watching Nagi no Asukara (A Lull in the Sea) and thought a first look would be appropriate, being that it still hasn’t ended and is fairly new and unheard of. This anime is so unique in the sense that it shows humanity from a side most have never thought of, and to be honest fascinates me. It takes the idea of what if human kind originally came from the sea? Now correct me ...

    Highly enjoyable watch
I started watching Nagi no Asukara because I enjoyed Ano Hana, and had heard they were similar. I have not been disappointed.

This show deals with the concept of growing up as well as prejudice against other cultures. The story centers around the four sea children who now must go to school on land. While sorting out their own feelings of growing up and reaching puberty, they also are in the ...

A MUST-watch if you love dramas like AnoHana, Clannad, or Angel Beats!
    *THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE REVIEW*

This is my first review, so bare with me. I tend to be wordy at times but I felt really passionate about this series so far and realized I MUST sway some opinions.

To start, I'll say this: for the MOST part, episodes 1-12 are... slow. The plot develops, but almost in a zig-zag, around-the-bush kind of manner. I'll even admit, around episode 9, I dropped it for ...

  • Awesome anime, top 5 this season!
This has been one of the best anime's I've seen this season! The characters develop slowly but end of blossoming into amazing characters you cant help fall in love with. Its slow at the beginning but don't give up, gets really good after episode 12 and onward!

    Just Plain Freaking Awesome
I love this anime. It's full of twists and heartfelt moments. It's well put together and I never know what's next. 100 Stars if I could. You really connect with each character and no one is insignificant. They are bold, cowardly, enduring and beautifully human.

  • Nagi no Asukara Rev!
I'm not done watching this show yet as it has recently been released, however, I'm enjoying it so far. Although it's not as "fight-related" as my other reviews for other shows are, I like the fact that the title of this anime makes you peaceful and calm. Who enjoys sitting in a boat peacefully listening to the sounds of the waves?

it's like spongebob for adults! :)
minus the obvious "for the kids" theme of spongebob of course, but it's the same in terms of logic not being applicable in this anime. One should just enjoy the moment and watch it with an open mind. it's not epic and badass but it is good enough to make me sit and marathon this anime in less than half a day especially on my day-off.. that right there says a lot. I'm giving it 1 star less of a ...
