Thoughts on this silly (and action-filled) adventure
Okay, now that season 2 is over, it's time that I add to my review. My thoughts on season 1 and the first episode are below. (spoiler free of course)

    Season 2
Right out of the gate, I'll say that season two made this series so much better. It took the action from the arena arc in season 1 and amped it up by 300%. The first few episodes are completely comedic, like the series started. After ...

    First Impressions of this.
*UPDATING THIS REVIEW WHEN SERIES IS COMPLETE*

So based on what I've seen from episode one, its well animated, very colorful, and a nice comedy. I've seen some of the manga, and this seems pretty faithful to it. I'm not going to write a full review, its just the first episode. But i do expect it to become greater as it progresses.

Manga now an Anime, count me in!
    BASED ON MANGA

A Comedic Gem Out of Left Field

If you enjoy the manga just watch it, it is a very fun and entertaining experience, and for anyone who has not read the manga, you can just pick up the anime and roll right along.

The entire anime is based on a bunch of prison goer's who are trying to escape the worlds highest security prison, and they have done this many ...

    Dumb, but fun! Seriously!
This did something few anime have been able to do: It made me laugh.

It's as dumb as a box o' rocks, but it's OK with that, and so am I. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and because of that, it succeeds where others do not. It's definitely worth a watch to see if it matches up with your sense of humor. I'm looking forward to next week's ep. to see if it can make me laugh again.

    Seriously good and faithful
I have been reading the manga since it first released here on crunchy roll and this anime does it so much justice. I absolutely loved the manga and being able to see these characters actually move and interact with each other is great for me. I'm so excited to see where this goes and the further antics. I am very curious to see what gets brought in from the manga and what they decide to cut. ...

The Only Tip You Need: GO WATCH THIS ANIME
I was looking for a chill, nothing serious anime to watch today and saw this pop up. A sharp, energetic, very amusing, homage to the manga lore, a great action-comedy. Every character has a uniqueness about them that i love! you cant help but Laugh at this first episode. Add this to your Queue if your Looking for a fun action-comedy, you will not be disappointed. ;-)

The best excuse to laugh all season
Nanbaka is a silly, fun, and kind of stupid anime, about a high security prison. Think Alcatraz, with Gintama characters. Originally, I saw this and though, "There's no way this can be funny". Fortunately, I was dead wrong! While the humor isn't on par with Sket-Dance (imo), and hasn't reached Sakamoto levels of making me laugh, Nanbaka is a great little show that I definitely see going places.

  • Weirdly interesting!!
The style of this anime is intensely ridiculous and colorful. Honestly, it's just plain fun. The light-hearted silliness is refreshing, yet there is enough hint of a story brewing to make it meaningful. I can't wait to see more! Too bad insane hairstyles like they have aren't realistic for the real world.

A Great Laugh for the Hard Days!!
This anime is so funny. At least to me. I do think there's a certain sense of humor you need to have for this kind of show.

In terms of randomness it reminds me a bit of the pacing and random events of Gintama, except the setting is in a very luxurious prison!

I also like that even though there are only 2 episodes, it has already been established that there is a more serious underlying ...

The more you watch the better it gets.
When I first started watching this show I really didn't like it...I thought it was cheesy and the sparkles all over the screen were annoying. I'm only 3 episodes in and the sparkles are basically invisible to me now, and the characters have really fleshed out and grown on me hah! I can't say I really take this show very seriously, but I will be keeping up with it for sure. It's light and fun, and ...
