    Somehow even more beautiful???
Guys, I don't know how they're doing it, but right off the bat season six is soaked in the same tranquil, ethereal beauty and very real fear iconic of Natsume Yuujinchou, only moreso. From the first moments of the opening through to the end of the first episode, the art quality is not just consistent with the franchise, it's better. It's beautiful, poignant, and downright terrifying when it ...

supernatural slice of life doesn't get any better.
    I just love this series.

beautiful art, relatable characters, grouchy but lovable sidekick. interesting story arcs with an everchanging cast of supernatural creatures.

this is one of the few anime that has remain consistently good and being in it's sixth season, an amazing achievement.

More Than Just a Slice of Life
Natsume is more than just slice of life. Deep down it deals with loneliness, friendship, belonging, trust and self confidence. The characters are funny. The stories are drift from being sentimental and heartwarming to suspenseful and action packed the next. It's the kind of show where there will never be a beach bikini episode.

As good as ever; glad it's back
For those of you not familiar with the Natsume Yujin-cho franchise, I highly recommend all of it. It's worth watching from the beginning. They do a fine job of balancing fantasy and the real world. There is also an excellent balance of continuity and single episode events. This season picks up exactly where we left off, and the quality of the show continues to impress. I was extremely happy to see ...

    always love natsume yujin-cho
Came across season 5 and immediately binged seasons 1-4. season 6 is not a disappointment! I don't know how they do it, the graphics are perfect, the storyline is on point and the characters each have something you can relate to. Love how they are growing more character stories and personalities this season.

    So excited for the Season!
Natsume Yujin-cho is one of my favorite animes, so I'm really glad that it's back. The first episode ties nicely into the previous season. I have high hopes for the rest of the episodes. Anyone who is on the fence about watching should watch the first few eps.

Oh my heart, you are loved
Heavy themes with beautiful art, music, and atmosphere. I just want to hug Natsume so he knows he's loved. That first episode will break your heart for him. You may flail at the site of Natsume at first, but then it will break when he has no memories of his loved ones. Even Nyanko-Sensei! The trauma he's endured through his young life shows.

    Season 6 So happy <3
A beautiful start to season 6.
I'd just read this chapter in volume 20 of the manga and I hope they go back to cover chapters they did not add in season 5, all of them were very good. Ah, season 6 of my #1 favorite show... I'm so happy :3
    Love this

  • Another amazing season of an amazing anime.
I really enjoyed how this season is starting to dig in even deeper to a slowly moving plot. Starting to hint at more things there are to come.
And at the end of it, I am stuck needing more Natsume Yuujinchou. Please!

It is a very soft world and easy-paced anime which I love. It puts me in a state of zen almost. The character is a very average and very relate-able character.

  • Absolutely stunning!
I have watched every episode of Natsume Yuujinchou since the first episode and I can say that every season is better than the last. The 6th season is no exception. This is such a beautiful story.
Natsume Yuujinchou is about loss, kindness, friendship, growing up, and healing. Throughout the show, Natsume deals with his own traumas and heals through reaching out to the people around him to help ...
