    A Warm, Heartfelt Show..
I sincerely hope they continue this series, but given the last episode, it is unclear whether they intend to make any more.

Natsume Yujin-cho is the heartfelt story of a young man befriending both humans and youkai in a world that seems to despise him for his very ability to see youkai.

As I mentioned in a previous review, the story is less about his encounters with the youkai and more about ...

    AND ALL THE CUTE YOKAI
When I finished Natsume Yujin-cho, I though to myself "Nothing could be better". And then I started Natsume Yujin-cho Shi and realized I was wrong, because Natsume Yujin-cho Shi was amazing, amazing, amazing.
It's so easy to get caught up in the gentle nature of Natsume Yujin-cho. It is adorable, endearing, and heart-breaking all at the same time.
Watching it just feels good. It really is an ...

    Excellent Anime for Everyone
Natsume Yujin-cho has to be one of the best shounen animes out there. The artwork is very well done and unique. There are a variety of character designs that you won't find in any other anime. The characters are also well done. They all have their distinct personalities. The different relationships Natsume has with both the youkai and humans are interesting and heart-warming. Natsume is a ...

    touching and meaningful.
This was the most wonderful, amazing, spectacular anime ever. I cannot even begin to describe how heart warming and adorable Natsume and Nyanko sensei makes of the anime. The storyline overall induces you to keep watching, you won't be able to stop after you've started the series! The music is overall wonderful, but I prefer season's three more (just a personal preference of music I ...

    Heartwarming and Funny
Natsume Yujin-cho Shi (NYCS) is a wonderful conclusion to the NYC anime series which include NYC, Zoku NYC, and NYC-san. Each season stand alone as funny, heartwarming, great animes, but together they're dang near brillant. If you've not started with season 1 episode 1 I suggest you do so. NYC seemingly moves slow causing us to be voyeurs in on the life of a HS student Takashi Natsume. In this ...

Amazing and Beautiful. It really touches me and connects with me.
This anime is so amazing on so many levels. All the characters are well developed, and unique. None of the characters will remind you of someone else from a different anime, and nothing really reminds you of other anime, except there being youkai in it and it's an anime. This is a COMPLETELY original piece of art, and you don't see this in most other anime, which copy other ideas and change just a ...

Best yokai anime ever. A must watch.
Have been a fan of this anime since the very first episode, the animation is absolutley beautiful and the story and characters are enchanting, it just keeps me coming back for more. I hope that there are many more episodes and seasons to come from this beautlful masterpice. I always do love anime about humans and yokai but this is one of the best.

Feel-good and fun, but with a deep story
Set in a rich world of myth, a story that shows how the ties of friendship and compassion can overcome adversity. Frankly one of the best anime currently being produced! Themes of friendship and the desire to protect the people we love are classic anime fodder, but Natsume mostly refrains from the fighting genre clash of titans stuff and instead shows how an otherwise normal boy might do ...

    A Heart-Warming Fantasy
The show has this sense of intrigue to it despite not having a laid-out plotline, instead generally being the "each episode is a story" sort. What I found intriguing was the world the anime built. I wasn't interested in many of the human characters, admittedly, aside from the titular character himself, his exorcist friend, and a sparse few solo episode characters and antagonists. The last few ...

    Enjoyable to pass time...
I really expected to be blown away from this anime, having read all the reviews touting how amazing it is. However, I didn't really feel any sort of "satisfaction" from this - at least more than superficially. I guess to phrase it as succinctly as I can, I would say this is a "thoughtful" anime at the shallow end of the pool, and therefore, it probably can be appreciated by a LOT of people. I do ...
