  • Moving and Sweet Anime
I've thoroughly enjoyed this Anime, and most episodes have brought a tear to my eye. I love stories about youkai, spirits, Shinto, etc... because we're so very starved for such things in North America. Our culture scoffs at anything "folklore" related and shows about our spirit heritage are few and far between.

This is a story about loneliness, friendship, compassion, prejudice, and love, in ...

Surprised At How Great This Is!
After reading the description of the show, I figured I might like to watch an episode here or there. However on a day when I didn't have class, I binge-watched the first two seasons. After doing a little checking I discovered that Natsume Yujin-cho is the first 3 seasons of the series and Crunchyroll has the fourth season titled Natsume Yujin-cho Shi. Probably become Shi is 4 in Japanese. I don't ...

  • A laid back, yet intriguing supernatural anime
This anime seems almost cliche at first. A high school boy who can see spirits. We've all seen that before. It goes way beyond just that. He meets his future "partner in crime" Madara aka Nyanko sensei and the pair's conflicting personalities bounce off each other in such a way that it is amusing without being annoying. We also get to meet and learn more about these spirits, not just that they are ...

  • A good breather from endless intense animes.
This series has all the elements you would expect an action series to have, but somehow it doesn't have an action-series feel. The premise is a boy with superhuman abilities in a world filled with monsters, most of which are out to hurt him. Action-story, right? While it's true there is some action, the "climate" of the series is very gentle and feel-good, you feel satisfied when each episode is ...

  • Natsume Yujin-cho was just what I needed
I've been out of the habit of watching anime for a little while, and I needed something to get me back in. This was it!

Natsume, who can see youkai, was a great character to lead me back into the world of anime and I like that he has this equal love for youkai and humans, and it just teaches us to love all creatures (even though sometimes we wish they werent real, hehe). Anyways, plot was ...

my mid-terms stress reliever. 100% suggested to anyone in a bad mood, stressed,or bored.
This was THE anime I watched during mid-terms last year. This is one of THE reasons Im proud of my love for anime(oh..and free! ;D. jk jk, MANSERVICE YES!). It has a more classical feel to it that makes it feel more like something cultural and oriental-interesting, with all its japanese folklore-Yet its lively, modern, and breathtaking and makes your face hurts from smiling after every ...

    Just... So... Beautiful...
When I saw this anime for the first time, I though..."This anime might not be very good..." And then rejected it. I thought it was the worst mistake, because when I watched the first episode, it was pretty awesome!!! I love the art and the story! Every episode is so beautiful it touched my heart. In most of the episodes, I cried~~~ I really hope that there will be another season(season 5), ...

Still my go to anime and so cute!
I cannot say enough about this show. Everything about it is relaxing and adorable and perfect. It's about an orphaned boy who was abused in the past (see the manga, and hints of it in the show) being passed from person to person because no one wanted him. He can see Yukai, or japanese monster/spirit type things, so everyone thought he was really weird, because when he was a kid he reacted to them. ...

  • Touching and Captivating.
I absolutely love this series. It's a quiet touching story about relationships with well-timed comedic moments from the "pig-cat" that I adore! (Just got figures of the cat, soo cute!) It's an unlikely pair/partnership that you watch grow into a great relationship. Highly recommend.

  • Refreshingly Addictive (:
There's a manga out on this anime and I seriously recommend you read it (:

Anyhow, I read the manga (got up to volume 12 I think?) and I LOVED it so very much!! The art style was different and refreshing, as was the plot and the way the story just flowed. Coming onto crunchyroll I noticed this anime and wanted to read it but seeing as how I'd been disappointed with the animated version of a lot ...
