Still my go to anime and so cute!
I cannot say enough about this show. Everything about it is relaxing and adorable and perfect. It's about an orphaned boy who was abused in the past (see the manga, and hints of it in the show) being passed from person to person because no one wanted him. He can see Yukai, or japanese monster/spirit type things, so everyone thought he was really weird, because when he was a kid he reacted to them. ...

    Refreshing and sweet anime.
Great show, no complicated plot, and lots of touching moments. It is a series that is composed of short stories and individual adventures. In each episode it revolves around him helping a demon. Natsume is very kind and you can't help but love him.

My gateway anime and ... maybe the perfect anime.
This is one of the first anime I remember watching. I loved it.

Natsume is superbly gorgeous -- seriously, you need to get an eyeful of this stuff because it will make you want to move to rural Japan and talk to ghosts. The music accompanying this visual bubble bath suits it perfectly: simple and expressive. It is a rare occasion that I am so delighted by recorders and bassoons. ...

One of my favorite animes :)
If you ever felt like an outcast, loner, outsider, weird, or insignificant, this anime is great for you because the main character has the same struggles. I really love how you can relate to the characters whether they are human or youkai. Watching each episode is like drinking a sip of hot chocolate on a cold day. Each sip is warm, sweet, and filling. However, you may cry bit because it also has ...

    Beautiful show with great stories
Each episode gives you a glimpse of his past while still presenting an intriguing current story. The atmosphere and tempo of the series provides the audience with a sense of melancholy or nostalgia and yet remains positive and hopeful. I rarely collect animes but I'll likely get this one on Amazon.

It's like Mushi-shi meets Ghost Hunt, with a touch of Angel Beats. I wish other animes are as ...

    An anime masterpiece
    Idea
You will be following Takashi Natsume in his quest to return all the names of all Yokai (Spirits) that his grandmother has acquired and written in the Book of Friends. (In this world, you can summon a spirit if you know its name.) Note: Spirits will never give their name without a good reason.

Natsume Yujin-cho (Natsume's Book of Friends) is the first of the following ...

Nice quite anime with lots of heart
While Natsume Yujincho is definitely more of a relationship driven anime then an action adventure, it packs quite the punch when it needs to. One of the shows strength is how characters flow in and out of the story as season plays out. Nyanko Sensei, the lucky cat, is just adorable and it is great to see how he grows as a character, even with all his complaining.

    An Authentic, Enjoyable, Heartfelt Show
This show has a deep-rooted foundation in traditional Japanese lore. The story of a boy with an unusual gift, left to clean up the fractured relationships from his mother's life.

There is no fanservice, no severe violence, it's all just an enjoyable collection of tales. The emotional journey feels sincere; and the adventures are all unique and interesting. Highly recommended.

    Touching with a Nice pace
If you are tired of anime being all about action and having no character then watch Natsume Yujin-cho. It has a very calm, relaxing pace without being boring and most of the stories are so touching its hard not to cry. A very very lovely series with memorable characters and heartfelt messages.

    Forever the Favorite
I have watched so many animes yet I have never come across one such as this one. This series played on my hearts strings and is on a completely different level than any other anime. YT was simply divine and I will never find another like it. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended.
