Best slice of life anime industry has produced
This anime is the best anime I have watched so far and my personal favorite. And this is coming from someone who watched over 300 plus anime titles thus far.....

Natsume Yuujinchou from the fourth season onwards was especially good and there are some episodes that are just a masterpiece every season, but all the episodes overall are good.

10/10 sound, soundtracks fit the scene very well and ...

  • Beautiful in every way possible, really
I don't think I've ever cried so much in an anime before (ok, I probably have, I'm pretty emotional). But Natusme Yujin-cho is full of emotional moments, heart warming friendships and just amazing art at the same time. Everything about it makes it memorable, I'm not sure what else to say.

  • Totally amazing, wish I knew about it sooner!
Firstly, this listing on Crunchyroll actually covers the first 3 seasons, so don't freak out when you go searching for more and see 4, 5, and 6 but can't find 2 and 3. And you WILL want more. If you love light hearted fairy tales that are almost relaxing in nature (think Mushi-shi) you will LOVE this show. The art is great, the story is engaging without taking away from the easy nature of the ...

  • I love Natsume and his cat!
Natsume and sensei are great characters! I love seeing the stories behind all the youkai he meets. I also love his adopted parents. He's a great kid with so much ahead of him.

If you're wondering where are seasons 2 and 3, well they're packed in this one. That's why this is 39 episodes. One day, I want a cat just like sensei.

    My Absolute Favorite Anime
This show absolutely makes my day. The characters are warm, fun, and silly at times. It balances heart-felt moments with crazy humor involving a round pig-cat. Nearly every episode brings me to the verge of tears with the messages it delivers about acceptance, open-mindedness, and friendship.
My only fear is that I'll never be able to find another anime that can fulfill me in the same way that ...

    Rises Above Its Peers
While Natsume Yujincho might not end up on the list of top modern classics in anime, it absolutely deserves attention and praise. The main character is likable but flawed, observant but human, and actually interested in taking part in the world around him. The side characters are varied, and do actually get development at times. The plot is imaginative despite carrying some clear tropes, and the ...

  • Beautiful, heartwarming and so much love <3
I absolutely adore this anime. The characters are so genuinely kind. The episodes make me cry from happiness and sadness at the same time. I can't really describe it but it is beautiful and I highly recommend it.

Plus there is no fan service nonsense, and the premise is interesting and whatnot. But mostly I love it because it's beautiful.

  • A gem too good to overlook.
Natsume Yuujinchou. It makes me think of frozen raspberries and a relaxed, unhurried fuzzy feeling - because that’s what I was doing when I first watched it, all five seasons that had aired at the time - consuming raspberries as though they were popcorn and trying to survive the sweltering summer holidays.

The premise, it is something fairly simple and relatively familiar. The main character is ...

  • One of the best anime to date!
When I first decided to watch this anime I was bummed that it was only available in 480p but I decided to watch it anyways. I am extremely glad I did!

This anime is unlike any other. It focuses on a boy, Natsume Takashi, who has what seems to be a curse - the ability to see yokai and interact with them. What makes this anime so special is the fact that it is not about fighting a great evil ...

  • What else to say but "amazing"
I'm mad at myself for passing this by so often. But when I finally watched it I was so addicted, I found that this anime is one of the best. The characters, their development, the art, and the stories. I love all of the Natsume Yujin-cho seasons and episodes. I hope for more.
