  • I loved it<3 nice series:)
    I loved it:)
it has a nice flow to it, and a good story continuing through each ep.
it has a calm feeling to it, even though its about his struggles and fears, a bit about his troubles trough his younger days, with having to move from one relative to another, all the time.
In the end, he must just accepting who he is, and all the beings that is in his life, and have trust in people ...

  • Heartwarming and Dear
I became hooked after watching just the first episode. The story immediately pulls you in and won't let you go. Each episode was very heartwarming and the characters are enjoyable.

The animation is beautiful to watch and the plot is interesting. If you're into the whole "yokai" thing, then this is the anime for you. There isn't any romance, so people looking for a romance won't find it in ...

    Beautiful show with great stories
Each episode gives you a glimpse of his past while still presenting an intriguing current story. The atmosphere and tempo of the series provides the audience with a sense of melancholy or nostalgia and yet remains positive and hopeful. I rarely collect animes but I'll likely get this one on Amazon.

It's like Mushi-shi meets Ghost Hunt, with a touch of Angel Beats. I wish other animes are as ...

    An anime masterpiece
    Idea
You will be following Takashi Natsume in his quest to return all the names of all Yokai (Spirits) that his grandmother has acquired and written in the Book of Friends. (In this world, you can summon a spirit if you know its name.) Note: Spirits will never give their name without a good reason.

Natsume Yujin-cho (Natsume's Book of Friends) is the first of the following ...

  • Excellent show, really touching
I'm glad I watched the credits all the way to the end to see that this series has a second season. I really enjoyed the first season, such a great show. I was really drawn in by the fact that Kazuhiko Inoue finally is playing a different character in an anime besides Kakashi. The versatility he showed playing Madara was probably my favorite part of the show.

The cast is great and all of the ...

Heartwarming, funny, calm, artistic, emotional, and powerful. Natsume's story is a must feel.
    Natsume Yujin-cho - Season 1
One of the best written series I have seen to date. Small but excellent cast of characters. The ending song just gets to your heart and takes the emotional level on each episode just that much further. The unique stories on each episode leaves the viewer speechless due to the emotional way that they are told. This first season was a personal favorite. ...

Nice quite anime with lots of heart
While Natsume Yujincho is definitely more of a relationship driven anime then an action adventure, it packs quite the punch when it needs to. One of the shows strength is how characters flow in and out of the story as season plays out. Nyanko Sensei, the lucky cat, is just adorable and it is great to see how he grows as a character, even with all his complaining.

  • Miss it sooo bad! T~T
It's very well drawn and pretty, never seen art style like in this anime. It's very original, loved how laid back and relaxing it was at times. Most of the characters were diversified and well thought out, which is hard for me to find in a anime. The only problem I have with it is that it was a bit repetitive. Other than that it's an awsome anime that stands out alot compared to others! Would ...

  • Natsume and his Friends
It is nice to finally be able to finish this series as when I originally started watching it was back in 2008 or so.

I regard television shows such as Natsume-Yujin-chou in higher regard than most because even though it has some fantastical things going on (in this case a boy has the ability to see and help youkai), it still maintains a level of reality. In this instance, this anime depicts ...

    An Authentic, Enjoyable, Heartfelt Show
This show has a deep-rooted foundation in traditional Japanese lore. The story of a boy with an unusual gift, left to clean up the fractured relationships from his mother's life.

There is no fanservice, no severe violence, it's all just an enjoyable collection of tales. The emotional journey feels sincere; and the adventures are all unique and interesting. Highly recommended.
