  • VIDEO: "Liberation Maiden SIN" Trailer Shows Off PS Vita Opening

    Port to have new opening and ending themes and more

    Famitsu busted out some new details on the PS Vita port of Liberation Maiden SIN, the PlayStation 3 visual novel follow-up to Suda51's Guild01 3DS shooter. Among the updates are new CG events, functions that make the game easier to play, a new opening theme by marina, and a new ending theme by Kana Hanazawa. Hit the jump to see the intro.

    Awa Odori (Dance) Festival is held from 12 to 15 August every year in Tokushima Prefecture, and with a branch, cafe and cinema in founder Hikaru Kondo's home town, anime studio ufotable has a history of getting into the spirit of the event. At this weekend's Machi✩Asobi anime event, held in the city, ufotable previewed this year's poster, with the characters from their upcoming Fate/stay night anime. Get a look after the jump.

  • Kazuhiko Shimamoto's Semibiographical Manga "Aoi Honou" Gets Live-action TV Drama

    Featuring the staff of Gainax in their student days

    Sports Hochi reports today on May 5 that a live-action TV drama adaptation of Kazuhiko Shimamoto's semibiographical manga Aoi Honou is in the works. 24-year-old actor Yuya Yagira, who won the Best Actor Award at the 2004 Cannes Film Festivals, plays the protagonist Moyuru Honou.     Since yesterday May 4, a new version of "Odoru Pompokolin" by popular Japanese girls group E-girls has been featured as the OP song for the long-running TV anime Chibi Maruko-chan.     A week ago we shared the second trailer for Tales of Zestiria, which is in the works for PlayStation 3. That was taken from a NicoNico broadcast, and it did the trick at the time, but Bandai Namco Games uploaded a much cleaner version a few days ago, so you can now watch it in 1080p after the jump.

    Kickstarter now up in an attempt to raise $275k for PS4/Vita release

    Dark fantasy fighting game The Chainsaw Incident recently hit Kickstarter, where developer ORiGO GAMES is looking to raise $275,000 over the course of the month. It's in the works for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, and you can see some of what it's gunning for in the pre-alpha gameplay footage after the jump. 

  • Capcom Schedules Month of "Mega Man" on the Nintendo 3DS eShop

    It's Mega May, with a different game set for each Thursday

    Capcom and Nintendo recently teamed up to announce Mega May, which will spend the whole month celebrating the Blue Bomber. Every Thursday will see a different Mega Man game joining the 3DS Virtual Console lineup, starting with Game Boy Color's Mega Man Xtreme, which is now available. Hit the jump for more.

  • New "Durarara!!" Anime Celebrates Izaya Orihara's Birthday

    There's a little joke in the scheduling of Durarara!! schemer Izaya Orihara's birthday. It's on May 4th, while his voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya's birthday is on January 28th. Izaya's nemesis Shizuo Heiwajima's birthday is January 28th while his voice actor Ono Daisuke's birthday is May 4th. Hyping the new anime, a special birthday event was held in Ikebukuro this weekend.   • VIDEO: Nana Mizuki Sings "Ai no Hoshi" and "Thermidor" for Her 10th Album Release Event

    The album took the first place in the Oricon weekly album ranking

    To promote her 10th album "SUPERNAL LIBERTY," popular voice actress/singer Nana Mizuki held nine handshake events in three cities between April 25 and 27. Her official YouTube channel has posted two singing videos from the Tokyo event. Check her latest live performances of "Ai no Hoshi" and "Thermidor" after the jump.

  • "Rozen Maiden" Authors' Character Komari Printed on Cider Bottle Label

    The peach taste cider is available in Ashiya-cho, Fukuoka

    PEACH-PIT, the manga artist unit of Rozen Maiden and Shugo Chara!, has supported "Ashiya Ningyou Kanshasai" (Ashiya Dolls Thanks Festival) in Ashiya-cho, Fukuoka Prefecture, by donating their original character Komari. This year's festival offers a cider bottle with her illustration label. Check the details after the jump.
