Japanese publisher PIE International announced today that "Haruhiko Mikimoto Character Works," a new full-color book that compiles acclaimed illustrator/manga artist Haruhiko Mikimoto's anime character design works for 35 years, is set to be released on June 20 at the price of 3,980 yen (about 36 US dollars). In commemoration of the manga's 20th anniversary, Bandai's official online store Premium Bandai today starts accepting pre-orders for four accessories inspired by the items worn by the main characters of Hiroyuki Takei's Shaman King action fantasy series: Yo Asakura's necklace, Horohoro's Ikupasuy (pierced earrings), X-LAWS' badge, and Hao Asakura's earrings. 25-year-old voice actress Yuka Ozaki, best known as Serval in the Kemono Friends anime franchise, announced at her birthday event held at LOFT9 Shibuya in Tokyo yesterday that her yet-titled first photobook will be released from Kodansha on July 19. You can watch a four-minute full music video for the song "Massugu ni, Toumei ni" (Go Straight, Be Invisible) featuring herself in the present and future.
In addition to the last three episodes, the 11th to 13th, the last fourth DVD/Blu-ray volume of the TV anime Violet Evergarden also includes a newly-produced "Extra Episode." It is set in several months between the TV anime's fourth and fifth episodes, and focuses on the protagonist Violet's hidden growing-up story. Kyoto Animation's official YouTube channel has posted one minute trailer for it.
