Accel World, the other gaming inspired light novel series by Sword Art Online author Reki Kawahara, previously adapted into a 2012 TV anime, returns in new movie Infinite Burst. Last October, Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival presented news that Reki Kawahara, author of the 2009 gaming inspired light novel series Accel World, will be writing a new story for upcoming anime production Accel World: Infinite Burst anime, set to feature the principal staff and cast from the 2012 TV anime adaptation. An early listing runnning on Japanese anime blogs now has the production screening in 24 Japanese theaters on July 23.
Warner Entertainment Japan has posted a 150-second sound-only preview for "PLASMIC FIRE," the theme song for the upcoming new anime project Accel World: Infinite Burst, performed by KOTOKO x ALTIMA, who sang the theme songs for the first Accel World TV anime series respectively.
