Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Anime Expo announced Anisong World Matsuri Los Angeles 2017 on June 30 and July 1, 2017. Created in association with Lantis Co., Ltd. and other leading Japanese entertainment companies that brought Anisong World Matsuri to AX 2016. More after the jump.

Viz Media announced plans to bring Blue Exorcist creator Kazue Kato to this year's Anime Expo, marking the first North American appearance for the manga author. Anime Expo has announced their first 2016 Guest of Honor, artist Yoshitaka Amano! While he has attended several conventions in the US before, this will be Amano’s first time attending Anime Expo.
