Aniplex USA Announces New "Gurren Lagann" Home Video Release
New DVD boxset to be released alongside Japanese Blu-Ray set
Aniplex of America had some huge news for attendees of its Sakura-Con panel earlier today. Along with the confirmation of the Valvrave the Liberator stream, the company also confirmed that it would re-release Gurren Lagann on home video in a new DVD boxset as well as releasing the Japanese Blu-Ray boxset slated for later this Spring. New online streaming venture backed by 6 major anime studios
Japanese business daily Nikkei has confirmed the forthcoming launch of a new Japan-based online streaming portal backed by six major anime studios and aimed at the English-speaking market called Daisuki. Hit the jump for the details and my take.

Aniplex abre una web para un misterioso anime original
Se abrirá oficialmente el día 2 de marzo por la noche.
Recientemente desde Aniplex han registrado un dominio para crear una web dedicada a un anime original todavía no ha anunciado. La web lleva por nombre “Il Sole Penetrale Illusioni“, que es la forma italiana de “el sol penetra las ilusiones”.

Hideo Katsumata abandona su posición en Aniplex y A-1 Pictures
Ha planificado y ha sido productor en títulos como Star Driver, Guilty Crown o Natsuiro Kiseki.
Sony Music Entertainment ha anunciado que Hideo Katsumata dejará su posición como director representativo de Aniplex el próximo domingo. Aniplex es una subsidiaria de SME que se dedice al anime y a la música de anime. Katsumata también ha dejado su posición como director corporativo en A-1 Pictures, el estudio de animación propio de Aniplex.

Aniplex USA held yet another panel at Anime Expo earlier today which featured some updates following its earlier panel at FanimeCon late last month.
