The official website for 26-year-old anime voice actress Kana Hanazawa has announced that purchasers of her upcoming 9th single "Toumei na Onnanoko" (Invisible Girl) at selected Japanese stores will receive a short comic newly drawn by Takako Shimura, who is well known for her Aoi Hana and Hourou Musuko manga series. Digital Manga Publishing has updated their emanga.com site with plans for April. New offerings include classic Weekly Shonen Jump relationship dramedy Kimagure Orange Road and Takako Shimura's yuri series Sweet Blue Flowers aka Aoi Hana. More after the jump.
There isn't a definitive time frame for either, but both Shūzō Oshimi's Flowers of Evil and Atsushi Okubo's Soul Eater manga are making overtures towards approaching their conclusions. While Flowers is explicitly not at its final chapter, talk at Bessatsu Shounen Magazine is apparently that it's getting there. Anime producer and distributor Right Stuf, Inc. and its Lucky Penny Entertainment label have announced a March 5, 2013 release date for acclaimed yuri series Sweet Blue Flowers (Aoi Hana). The DVD set will include the entire 11-episode television series, in a single DVD keepcase, with Japanese audio, English subtitles and on-screen translations, and on-disc video extras. The Manga Erotics editorial department official blog has announced an Aoi Hana manga exhibition of original illustrations by Takako Shimura in Tokyo and Chiba. The exhibition will be held in order to commemorate the publication of the 6th volume manga on May 12.
