To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Aquarion series, a giant-sized rhythm game is temporarily taking over the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line Shinjuku Metro Promenade area of Shinjuku Station in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Hit the jump to perform the "forbidden union".
Macross co-creator Shoji Kawamori and Satelight's Sousei no Akuerion (Genesis of Aquarion) debuted April 4th, 2005, and to celebrate, a slate of projects including a stage play, a Showa-era set OVA crossover between the first series and its EVOL follow-up, as well as a LOGOS TV anime planned for summer. FUNimation has posted new English dub clips of the just released Good Luck Girl (Binbougami Ga!) as well as the the soon to be released Aquarion EVOL and Fairy Tail movie. In a nice change of pace from the many figures of Saber, Irisviel and Kiritsugu, MegaHouse showcased an unpainted early look at the Fate/zero Rider at Chara Hobby 2012. Trading figures form that series and Binbougami ga!, mecha from series such as Rahxephon and Aquarion Evol character figures were also previewed during the late August event. FUNimation's Otakon 2012 panel just ended, and the company had plenty to announce as far as licenses and upcoming releases are concerned. License announcements kicked off with Tenchi Muyo! In a new Biglobe poll, over seven thousand Japanese anime fans named which female characters attract the most unhealthy fanboy obsession. There's an evident recency bias at work, so while Madoka Magica has a strong showing, along with the obvious K-On! and Haruhi, Aquarion EVOL is also well represented.
