Those diabolical monsters of rock known as BABYMETAL are set to release a live album to commemorate their historic concert at the UK’s famed Wembley arena, which kicked off their infernal 2016 world tour earlier this year. To crank start the hype machine, the trio of terror has now released a promo video full of band footage and apocalyptic foreboding. Watch after the jump!
Warner Bros digital studio Blue Ribbon Content and Japan’s Amuse Inc. subsidiary Amuse USA are teaming up to develop a hybrid live-action and animated shortform series series based on the trio BABYMETAL. Creator and manager Key Kobayashi, aka Kobametal is producing. More after the jump.
BABYMETAL has been having a hell of a year, both with their own original music and the metal legends they've teamed up with along with way. The latest is none other than Rob Halford of Judas Priest, who joined the trio at the Alternative Press Music Awards to cover Judas Priest classics "Painkiller" and "Breaking the Law." Last weekend, hit Japanese trio BABYMETAL took their distinctive take on the genre to NC's Carolina Rebellion, where they rubbed shoulders with genre legends like Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper. UK album tracking service Official Charts has announced that in the wake of their April 2nd performance at London’s Wembley Arena, BABYMETAL's second album, Metal Resistance, debuted on the charts at #15, making 18-year-old Suzuka Nakamoto and 16-year-olds Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi - aka Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal, the highest-charting Japanese band in Official Albums Chart history.
