Since they'll adapt just about any anime series, sometimes you have to wonder what Wave is thinking of with their line of Beach Queen figures. And, sometimes they make perfect sense. Such is the case with the ones lined up for this winter. Vividred Operation's Himawari Shinomiya kicks off her series in November, with Akane Isshiki in December and Rei Kuroki in January. Meanwhile, Haganai NEXT's Sena Kashiwazaki and Kobato Hasegawa come in January.
Wave's line of Beach Queen figures will put pretty much any anime heroine in a swim suit regardless of if it makes sense or not. However, they've found a thematically appropriate subject with the announcement that they'll be releasing figures based on Gargantia's Amy and Bellows. Wave line of Beach Queen figures is now producing swim suit wearing heroines year round, but the character goods line has now moved into scheduling releases for the seasonally appropriate months. After working through their winter plans, Wave have posted their Beach Queen schedule for earlier spring 2013. Having run out the variants, for the first time in a long time there's no Fate/ Sabers, but there is Is It a Zombie's Haruna, Nyarko-son, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Guilty Crown and the girls of Natsuiro Hiseki.
