This means that manga author Rei Hiroe really waited down to the write to mark the calendar year of its 10th anniversary. But, as he prepares for a big 2017 with the planned return of the manga and his new Re:Creators anime project, both scheduled for spring, TEX-MEX shot a tribute into social media. Now that the news is official, an announcement video and teaser have been published.

Hiroe is the concept creator, character designer and writer for a Re:Creators anime project, scheduled for 2017.
In late 2014, when plans for Fate/Grand Order were detailed, Black Lagoon creator Rei Hiroe was listed in the impressive roster of artists involved. F/GO is now in its end game and Rei Hiroe's art has finally appeared, in the form of Rider Quetzalcoatl. After grabbing fans' attention with crossover featuring his early, 1994 Nazis versus manga Hisuikyou Kitan (Jade Gorge Story), the artist directed fans to a teaser blog post.

Figure maker Newline, who last year released a repainted Revy swimsuit figure and blood-soaked Roberta -Chimamire ver.- figure, is now bringing back the heroine of Black Lagoon for a 1/6 scale, polystone DX Edition figure. Goemon sculpts the scantily clad gunslinger, while Ryosuke Takagi handles her weapons. The 15cm figure with special base goes for 18,144 yen ahead of a July release.
Viz last published a volume of Rei Hiroe's action manga Black Lagoon in July, 2010, but following the series Japanese return last year, it's North America's turn with volume 10 scheduled for an April release. More adter the jump.
