Yesterday we got our first look at the updated Catherine: Full Body, and Atlus USA didn't waste any time confirming a western release. Platforms have yet to be determined, but it's coming to PS4 and PS Vita in Japan so it's a safe bet we'll at least be getting the former. Read on for more.
Following up on the reveal of Catherine: Full Body for PS4 and PS Vita, Atlus shared the first promo that previews some of the updated version's new features. Chief among the additions is a third Catherine named Rin (voiced by Aya Hirano), and she's front and center in the debut trailer after the jump.
Catherine: Full Body is a collaboration between Atlus and Persona 5 director Katsura Hashino's Studio Zero that adds new endings, episodes, "sexy events," anime scenes, and a third Catherine to the cult puzzle game. Read on for details.
Modeller ArtSpirits has posted a blog preview, offering a good luck at figures of the titular Catherine from Atlus' psychological puzzle game, as well as her human double Katherine. The duo will be released in that order this fall. Get a look at the curvy pair after the jump.
The International Animated Film Society has announced the nominations for its 39th Annual Annie Awards. Some noteworthy inclusions for Japanese animation include Catherine, from Atlus with an assist from Studio 4°C, and Capcom's Ghost Trick in Best Animated Video Game. It was supposed to ship to coincide with Atlus' release of the unique relationship sim/puzzle game, but, if you were a fan of Catherine, and still care to watch a semi-clothed gravure idol playing/acting out the game, you're in luck. I can't seem to think of another game where you get to play as a putz who cheats on his girlfriend because he can't decide what he wants out of life, or doesn't seem to want much of anything at all. This is pretty much instantly a reason to want to try Catherine out, if nothing else (and we did), but it soon proves a reason to get hooked, even if you're not much of a puzzle game fan.
