The long awaited second episode of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled has finally hit Japanese theaters for alimited run ahead of its Blu-ray release, and to celebrated the delayed release, Akihabara's Cure Maid Cafe is running a limited theme menu September 20-29. There's even a secret themed drink for patrons with ticket stubs for the movie. More after the jump.
The second of the four, once quarterly, Code Geass: Akito The Exiled episodes slipped out of planned summer time frame, with the pre-home video limited theater run opened in Japanese theaters September 14th. A new previews hypes the release with a seven minute excerpt. Also out this week, the first audio episode Miyu Irino, Miyu Irino, Yōko Hikasa, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Satoshi Hino has been previewed. While Code Geass was certainly successful in establishing its own brand, going into the 2006 anime, a key selling point was original character designs by manga superstars CLAMP. Along those lines, the headline feature of a new Blu-ray box set, due to be released in Japan September 25th, is a new 5.1 channel surround sound audio mix, versus the TV's series.
