I had an opportunity to assist highly regarded Japanese cosplayer Reika as her translator during the famous Yaoi-Con 2014 on September 12-14 in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she was invited as an Industry Guest. This weekend, volume 18 of Yuki Midorikawa's Natsume's Book of Friends manga is being released, along with a felt craft book and a Nyanko-sensei guided book of factory tours. Promoting these, and celebrating 10 millions copies sold, a series of posters featuring fans cosplaying as the series cast will decorate JR Shinjuku Station East Exit Metro Promenade over the next week. Following the success of Hacostadium, the first studio dedicated to cosplay photo shootings launched in February 2012, Japanese rental photo studio company HACOSTA will open its new cosplay photo studio named Hacostadium Cosset in Nipponbashi, Osaka on September 12.
