Takara Tomy has begun taking pre-orders for a limited camping tent inspired by the NERV headquarters in Evangelion, complete with angel attack minitor on its interior and 1/100 scale Eva unit stalking the exterior. Two adults can rest in the one pole structure, which measures 140cm high, with 230 cm sides. It sells for 29,800 yen before tax, with an August planned shipping date.

The Japan Animator Expo showcase of shorts presented by Dwango and Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno's Studio Khara has announced that its 20th will be helmed by Evangelion mecha designer Ikuto Yamashita. Kazuhiro Furuhashi, the director of Le Chevalier D'Eon, Kenshin and the 1999 Hunter x Hunter is animation director with Sejoon Kim (Gundam Build Fighters) as mech animation director and Iwao Teraoka (animator on Rebuild) as character animation director.
