Evangelion is gearing up for warm weather gear with its fourth annual Eva T-Shirt Party, which will be adding 40 new shirt options to the extensive variety, and over 500 items at the Evangelion shops. This kicks off for Golden Week at the EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01 on Ikebukuro P'Parco 2nd floor which will have an exclusive Party t-shirt, as well as illustration postcards offered with purchases.
Tokyo-based toy company Kawada yesterday started offering its new Nanoblock kit based on Unit-01 from the Evangelion franchise. The kit consists of 370 micro-sized building parts and has movable joints in its arms and legs. Check the details after the jump.
For April 1st, the sites for Toho's new Godzilla movie (Godzilla Resurgence internationally, Shin Gojira in Japan) co-directed by Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Heisei Gamera series, Attack on Titan), and Evangelion were updated with a visual featuring a clash between the King of Kaiju and Unit 01. Tokyo-based sportswear store chain Victoria's official online store today starts accepting pre-orders for four collaboration golf shoes between the Evangelion anime franchise and Italian brand Kappa. The collaboration items inspired by the anime's four main characters will be also available at their stores from April 7. Check the details after the jump.
Avex has posted a short version music video for Japanese singer-songwriter Megumi Mori's acoustic cover of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," the OP theme song for the 1995 TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Last weekend, Universal Studios Japan brought back its “Cool Japan” attractions for 2016, including Evangelion The Real 4D:2.0. This was presented along with food and goods including Eva head popcorn, entry plug LCL drink and Angel pork bun in AT field wrappers. Series mech designer Ikuto Yamashita got his hands on the popcorn bucket, and the internet was suitably impressed by the idea of snacking out of the fearsome giant's skull.
This weekend, Universal Studios Japan is launching the sequel to their hit Cool Japan attractions with new editions of their Attack on Titan: The Real, Evangelion: The Read 4D, Biohazard/Resident Evil: The Escape, and Monster Hunter: The Real, joined by a new attraction with pop oddity Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. A social media promotional campaign, contribution to which can be rewarded with tickets, is livened up with new Titan animation and Eva mech design.
