The official site for the 2014 winter TV anime pupa announced today that they will host a screening event for the uncensored version of its first eight episodes in Chiba Prefecture on December 21. The KyoAni & Do "C T F K" event was held this weekend in Japan and some new updates for Free! have been posted by attendees. "CTFK" stands for each respective anime shows by KyoAni and Animation Do, C is for Chuunibyo Demo Koi Ga Shitai, T is for Tamako Market, K is for Kyokai No Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) and F is for Free! Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion, the final installment of the Madoka Magica film trilogy, will be finally released in Japan this week on Saturday. The 3rd floor of "Nostalgic Hero Toy Exhibition," which is held by Tokushima Shimbun between September 28 and October 27, is dedicated to kaiju figures from popular tokusatsu films and TV series, such as Toho's Godzilla, Daiei's Gamera, and Tsuburaya Production's Ultra series. As a pre-event for its 70th anniversary project, Tokushima Shimbun, a local newspaper in Tokushima-city, is now holding "Nostalgic Hero Toy Exhibition" featuring 2,000 Japanese figures from 1960s to 2000s on the 2nd and 3rd floor of Nishisenba Building in the city. As the name suggests, ufotable CINEMA is a movie theater owned by famous anime studio Ufotable (Fate/Zero, The Garden of Sinners). The company opened it in Higashishinmachi Shopping Arcade, Tokushima-city, in March 2012. It is now the only movie theater in the city. Check the photo report after the jump.
Animate Japan will have a Free! in-store screening event at their Ikebukuro and Osaka Nohinbashi locations and the online poll to decide which episodes to be shown at the event was recently closed with the results completed. The Poppo shopping arcade near the JR Tokushima station was one of the main sites of the 11th Machi Asobi, the biggest anime/manga/game event on the island of Shikoku. Realistic gourmet battle and family drama series Oishinbo has inspired a real gourmet battle project by two of the largest newspaper companies in Japan, just like in the manga. Oishinbo, The Gourmet, is celebrating its 30th anniversary since its start on October 15th, 1983 in Weekly Big Comic Spirits and this real battle project really sounds like the manga! A new musical adaptation of the popular otome game franchise Amnesia has been announced. 15 stages are scheduled over 10 days and there will be 5 different endings to the show, just like the otome game.
