The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Takarazuka-city, Hyogo Prefecture, is now featuring an exhibition of the super-popular anime series Evangelion. The exhibition, which began on June 29 and runs through Oct 22, displays replicas of the costumes and life-size figures of the popular characters, production sketches, storyboards, and many items from the series. Tokyo Anime Center in the Akihabara UDX building opened in March of 2006. Their event gallery had held many anime-related events. 3331Arts Chiyoda, an art gallery in Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo, will hold "Katsuhiro Otomo GENGA Exhibition" from April 9 to May 30. "GENGA" means original arts in Japanese. The event will display the original arts from Otomo's representative manga works such as AKIRA and Domu, and his art books "KABA" and "KABA2". Hit the jump for more information.
"Manga・Manga・Manga Exhibition! 2011" has started at Yokoyama Memorial Manga Museum in Kochi-city since yesterday. It is the 10th original arts exhibition by the two major manga artist groups in the city, "Kochi Manga Shudan (Kochi Manga Group)" and "Kuijira no Kai (The Whale Club)". Lupin the 3rd exhibition - This is the world of Lupin the 3rd- will be held at the EKI Kyoto museum in Kyoto from April 28 to May 29. The exhibition celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Lupin the 3rd anime series. The event will also present an autograph session by the original manga creator Monkey Punch on April 29 & 30.
