  • "Getter Robo" 40th Anniversary Art Exhibition to be Held in Tokyo

  • T-Shirts Celebrate 40th Anniversary of "Getter Robo"

    The original Getter Robo anime and manga both ran from April 1974 to May 1974 with the distinction of pioneering the concept of the machines combining into a super robot hero. Akita Shoten is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the still popular series with a pair of battle collage and cover art t-shirts from creator Ken Ishikawa and contributor Go Nagai, appropriately offered offered in three color options.   • Discotek Announces "Yowapeda" and "Lupin the 3rd Jigen's Gravestone" Licenses

    "iria" Toei's "Little Mermaid" and "Go Nagai World" also licensed

    Since October, anime distributor Discotek has been teasing big news on a sports license. This weekend, that news dropped. Yowamushi Pedal series 1 and series 2 Grande Road will be released on home video English subtitles. Along with this, they announced plans to released Lupin the 3rd Jigen's Gravestone on DVD and Blu Ray. This will be their first title to have a brand new English dub, included along with Japanese with English subtitles.
