The Sunrise/Bandai merchandise chain works quickly. Following the debut of the Gundam Build Fighters Try Island Wars special, Bandai's Hobby Net revealed that they are about to start selling a real model kit based on Fumina Hoshino homage gunpla Super Fumino in the new version, color for Zeta Gundam's fascist Earth Federation elite force known as the Titans.
Bandai Namco opened a virtual reality-focused area in Tokyo Plaza back in April, with plans to run the VR Zone: Project i Can space through October. Things are getting ready to heat up in the VR Zone with the addition of a Mobile Suit Gundam virtual reality experience, which will be available to try out from August 26 through October 10.
After 25 years away from the series, singer Hiroko Moriguchi, who performed Zeta Gundam opening "Mizu no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" and insert song "Gin'iro Doresu," and Mobile Suit Gundam F91 opening "Kimi no Mitsumete -The Time I'm Seeing You-" and ending "Eternal Wind ~ Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka" (she also did One-Punch Man's ending) is now set to return to Gundam on the fourth part of prequel Origin.
An August 21 broadcast date was announced for the Gundam Build Fighters Try Island Wars special TV episode last month, and English-speaking audiences can now look forward to watching, as well. The special will stream with English subtitles for free for a limited time on the Gundam.Info portal starting August 21, streamable on PCs and smartphones. Read on for more.
After releasing the series on DVD in North America for the first time last June, Right Stuf's Nozomi Entertainment, in agreement with Sunrise will now be releasing Turn A Gundam on Blu-ray, with collections planned for 2017. More after the jump.
