And, it has continued to look to local sci-fi Gundam Unicorn for reinforcements. 20 years after the classic of sci-fi cinema Independence Day debutted, the spectacle is getting a sequel with this summer's Resurgence. The film opens in Japan on July 9th, and prepared for everyone's favorite monument incinerating alien invaders is the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, NT-D system activated and Destroyer mode on. The collaboration posters with the confrontant will displayed in Japanese theaters in the 18 days leading into the opening.
According to the latest Oricon report, the Blu-ray disc of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III Akatsuki no Houki (Dawn of Rebellion) ranked No.1 in its overall weekly Blu-ray sales chart selling an impressive 39,000 units in its first week.
