The 1989 Toho live action adaptation of Kia Asamiya's mecha manga Gunhed is a favorite among fans of Japanese special effects for its full scale model robots and it has a notable following among sci-fi luminaries from William Gibson to James Cameron. Figure maker Kotobukiya hasn't said when they'll be importing their kit to North America, but they have teased us with a new preview. Get a look after the jump.
