El seiyuu Mamoru Miyano se ha unido al cast de la película de anime original Hal. Miyano pondrá voz a un viejo amigo de Hal llamado Ryu. De niños, Ryu y Haru trabajaron juntos como parte de un grupo ilegal de trabajo infantil. Un día, la versión robótica de Hal se encuentra con Ryu en la calle.
