    Continuing their celebration of the April 2009 debut of the K-on! anime, Animaru! and Stronger get to the third in their line of fifth anniversary figures with Ritsu Tainaka, going on sale in time for her August 21st birthday. The 1/8th scale by Figureneet is selling for a special early price of 8210 yen ahead of a June 2016 release.   • "K-on!" Fifth Anniversary Mugi Figure Previewed

    Azusa figure due in July

    Continuing their celebration of the April 2009 debut of the K-on! anime, Animaru! and Stronger get to Azusa Nakano in July, followed by Tsumugi Kotobuki at a later date. The 1/8th scale Azusa by Figureneet sells 9800yen, and while a full preview of the figure has been available, the protype of Mugi is now online. Get a look after the jump.

  • Australia's Public Digital Network ABC3 to Broadcast "K-on!"

    Series debuts June 19th

    Ho-kago Tea Time, and especially Azusa, better get their sunscreen ready, because K-on! is going Down Under! The light music club anime, distributed in the region by Madman, will begin a broadcast run on on the public Australian Broadcasting Corporation digital children's network ABC3 starting on June 19th.     Japanese retailers including Amazon JP have started accepting pre-orders for Broccoli's latest three items from its deformed figure line "Chocolte": Yui Hirasawa, Mio Akiyama, and Ritsu Tainaka in swimsuit from the K-ON! franchise based on Kakifly's four-panel comedy manga.   • Korg Offers 300-limited Keyboard Inspired by Mugi from "K-ON!"

    In commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the anime

    Japanese electronic musical instrument company Korg has announced its collaboration project with popular band-themed anime series K-ON!. The company will release "RK-100S K-ON! Special," a 300-limted electronic keyboard inspired by the keyboardist of Houkago Tea Time, Tsumugi Kotobuki. Check the details after the jump.

    The tea cup Ho-kago Tea Time figures coming with fifth anniversary Blu-ray set

    In 2012, comedy manga artist Katsuki Tanaka designed the Cup no Fuchiko capsule toy, a series of mini figures of a girl in a blue and white uniform that sits on the edge of drinking glasses in six different poses. After becoming a phenomenon, selling millions of units, the collaborations began. Now, after Madoka Magica, Sailor Moon and the likes, K-on! and KanColle are getting their turns for collaborations.
