    Background artist Kevin Aymeric has discovered it hidden in the movie.

    If you didn't help crowdfund Ping Pong director's Masaaki Yuasa Kick-Heart, or catch on its festival tour or its surprise broadcast on Toonami in summer 2013, you might have seen the wrestling short during the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie without even realizing it! Background artist Kevin Aymeric has discovered it hidden in 2014 the movie.

    Surprise airing of Masaaki Yuasa's crowd funded anime short "Kick-Heart" had 708,000 watching

    American TV ratings for Saturday, August 31st are out, and it looks like Toonami's broadcast of Evangelion 2.22 managed to build on the success of the March 17th airing of Evangelion 1.11. Where the earlier Rebuild movie had 959,000 tuning in, the second part of the mecha anime reboot had 1.097 million watching. More after the jump.

    2D anime "Kick-Heart" to tell love story between a pro-wrestler and a nun

    Back in October, Masaaki Yuasa, the director of highly praised and unconventional anime such as Tatami Galaxy, along with studio Production I.G, has launched a Kickstarter effort to raise $150,000 to crowd fund production on 2D animated short Kick-Heart. By the end of the month, it topped $200,000 to cover an English dub and an LA premiere sponsored by Titmouse Animation Studios. See where progress stands after the jump.
