American TV ratings for Saturday, August 31st are out, and it looks like Toonami's broadcast of Evangelion 2.22 managed to build on the success of the March 17th airing of Evangelion 1.11. Back in October, Masaaki Yuasa, the director of highly praised and unconventional anime such as Tatami Galaxy, along with studio Production I.G, has launched a Kickstarter effort to raise $150,000 to crowd fund production on 2D animated short Kick-Heart.
