The Japanese broadcast debut of Kiss Him, Not Me is just around the corner, and the TV anime adaptation based on Junko's popular shōjo manga about a fujoshi who undergoes a remarkable transformation after her favorite anime character dies has added a handful of supporting characters to its cast. A new visual offers the latest bit of promotion for fall's Junko's reverse harem comedy Kiss Him, Not Me. This award-winning shoujo series follows a chubby "fujoshi" who gets sent into shock at the death of her favorite anime character and wakes up days later thin and popular. The broadcast premiere will be at 25:58 October 6th (basically 2:00am on the 7th) on TBS, followed an hour later on CBC, then the 7th on Sun TV and the 8th on BS-TBS.

With the August issue of home magazine Bessatsu Friend and volume 9 out in Japan on July 13, after they leaked out a little early, the cast has been introduced for fall's TV anime adaptation of Junko's Kiss Him, Not Me. Of note, a cast lead by Kana Hanazawa in a 2015 audio drama is being replaced by one lead by voice actress/artist/fashionista Yuu Kobayashi (Attack in Titan's Sasha, Monster Musume's Smith). TBS has launched their Watamote site for Watashi ga Motete Dōsunda, aka Kiss Him, Not Me to promote fall's anime adaptation of the 40th Kodansha Manga Award Shoujo Category manga.
