As previously reported, Kochi Indies Magazine, an independent manga magazine published in Kochi prefecture, held a contest for the cover illustration for the newest issue (12th.) The magazine is planning to hold this contest internationally every year and hoping it will work as a bridge between Japan and foreign manga artists. The Yokoyama Ryuichi Memorial Manga Museum in Kochi Prefecture has opened an exhibition for the entries for the cover illustration contest of Kochi Indies Magazine on September 8. Thanks to the Internet, the magazine received 36 entries from all over the world this time. Check the entries after the jump!

I had an opportunity to meet Kyoko Yasuoka, the editor in chief of Kochi Indies Magazine at "1 Day Manga Open College in Kochi" on February 18.
