The KyoAni & Do "C T F K" event was held this weekend in Japan and some new updates for Free! have been posted by attendees. "CTFK" stands for each respective anime shows by KyoAni and Animation Do, C is for Chuunibyo Demo Koi Ga Shitai, T is for Tamako Market, K is for Kyokai No Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) and F is for Free! The KyoAni Shop has updated the special site for the Free! Illustration WORKS book that will be released on November 15th with moving samples of the DTA Mascot software! It's software that will be included in the anime's first official illustration book that installs desktop characters for you to click, drag or just let them be in your own monitor. The KyoAni Shop has added the new Free! Illustration WORKS artbook to their line of items and have also opened a dedicated site for it. According to the site, it's not just an ordinary art book, as 19 illustrations out of the total of 66 will have original drama stories to go with them, and a special Visual Story CD will be included so you can enjoy listening to what went on behind the illustration while looking at them. Music label Lantis has posted the short version of Minori Chihara's new single, which is the opening theme of new fall anime Kyokai No Kanata by KyoAni. The song is also titled "Kyokai No Kanata" and will be released on October 30th. Only two more episodes left for this summer's popular swimming anime, Free!, but to keep to the excitement going, the official fanbook is planned to be released on October 30th in Japan. The fanbook not only features a re-cap of all 12 episodes, interviews with the cast and staff, and the individual pin-up posters of each of the 5 swimmers in the show. With no new episode to air for a week, my Free! craving is at it's peak and KyoAni knows it. The official site has posted a trailer for the original shorts that will be included in the first volume of the home video release on September 11th in Japan. The book division of Kyoto Animation in KA esma Bunko has announced the prequel novel that the Summer anime "Free!" is based on will be published on July 8th in Japan. The official site was recently updated with STORY, CHARACTER, GALLERY and SHOP pages. See the young Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa and Rin after the jump!
Already one of the most anticipated anime of the Summer season, Kyoto Animation has already started taking pre-orders for the first official Free! guidebook at its online KyoAni shop. The actual sale date is set for July 3rd and reserved copies will be also be shipped that month, according to the site. The anime itself will also start in July. The Free! official site keeps updating with new videos ahead of its broadcast later this Summer! The latest teaser features Ryugasaki Rei, who was not part of the now legendary promotion video that was originally released by Kyoani earlier this year. Nonetheless, this new addition to the highly anticipated anime seems interesting and (of course) ripped. Click for the video!
