  • "Your Lie in April" Manga Gets Live-Action Film Adaptation in 2016

    Directed by Takehiko Shinjo (Paradise Kiss, Kiyoku Yawaku)

    It is confirmed that a live-action film adaptation of Naoshi Arakawa's Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso/Your Lie in April manga is in the works for a 2016 release. 17-year-old Suzu Hirose, who is also cast as Chihaya Ayase in the upcoming two Chihayafuru live-action films, will play the heroine Kaori Miyazono.     Nihon TV has announced that 19-year-old fashion model/actress Ayaka Miyoshi will play the main heroine Xiang-Ying in the upcoming live-action TV drama adaptation of Tsukasa Hojo's Angel Heart manga series. 50-year-old actor Takaya Kamikawa is already cast as Ryo Saeba in his middle age.     2nd part "End of the World" hits Japanese theaters September 19

    Toho has posted a 90-second trailer for Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan End of the World, the upcoming second part of the live-action film adaptations of Hajime Isayama's mega hit manga series Attack on Titan, featuring the theme song "SOS" performed by four-member Japanese rock band SEKAI NO OWARI.   • "Patlabor- Tokyo War" to be Screened at Montreal World Film Festival

    Director's cut edition will be released in Japan in October

    The upcoming 39th Montreal World Film Festival has announced that Mamoru Oshii's latest live-action feature film The Next Generation -Patlabor- Shuto Kessen/Tokyo War will be screened as one of 24 films of its World Greats section.   • "Anohana" Live-Action TV Drama Set for September 21

    Fuji TV today announced that the live-action TV drama adaptation of A-1 Pictures' Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. anime series will be aired from 21:00 to 23:18 on September 21 (JST).
