  • "Lucky Star" Voice Actresses Throw Out First Pitch at Pre Baseball Game

    The umpire generously opted not to charge Emiri Kato with a balk

    After Tsukasa Hiiragi voice actress Kaori Fukuhara did such a stellar job throwing out the first pitch last year, the cast of Lucky Star has again be teamed up with the pro baseball team of the geek comedy's home town, the Saitama Seibu Lions. This year, for June 23rd game against the Orix Buffaloes, Fukuhara was joined by Kagami Hiiragi's Emiri Kato in "Lucky Star Day Season 2." See the results after the jump.

    While Yutaka Yamamoto (Haruhi, Senyu) famously parted ways with the Lucky Star production after directing the first four episodes, the divisive "Yamakan" will be returning for the adaptation of Kagami Yoshimizu's spin-off, The Miyakawa Family's Hunger, which will be produced by the studio he founded, Ordet, along with Encourage Films.
