As the name suggests, ufotable CINEMA is a movie theater owned by famous anime studio Ufotable (Fate/Zero, The Garden of Sinners). The company opened it in Higashishinmachi Shopping Arcade, Tokushima-city, in March 2012. It is now the only movie theater in the city. Check the photo report after the jump.

This weekend, Tokushima's Machi Asobi 11 event hosted the ceremony for the winners of Newtype's third annual anime awards. Prizes recognized the best in anime over the last year, as selected by the magazine's readers. Unsurprisingly, Attack on Titan cleaned up, but Majestic Prince did quite well too. This past weekend was the culmination of the 11th Machi Asobi anime/manga/game event. Held in ufotable's hometown of Tokushima-city, the anime studio always had a big presence. During their talk on 2014 projects, they acknowledged that they are working on a Fate/stay night project, but couldn't offer any details yet. Another popular event at the 10th Machi Asobi was "Oreimo Exhibition" at the top of Mount Bizan, a 290 meters high mountain in the middle of Tokushima-city. One of the featured and popular exhibitions in the 10th Machi Asobi was Enterbrain's "Amagami Museum" which was held in the Poppo shopping street near the JR Tokushima station. The biggest anime/manga/game event in the western Japan in the Golden Week season is no doubt Machi Asobi in Tokushima Prefecture on Shikoku island. The highlights of the biannual event is Cosplay Fashion Show, which more than 100 cosplayers can enjoy catwalk on the over 100m long red carpet through the shopping arcade.
