    Good Smile Company takes a broader view of Madoka Magica (that's a forced wide face joke) with a new scale figure of Homura Akemi based on manga artist/original character designer Ume Aoki's Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: The Beginning Story / The Everlasting visual.   • "MadoGatari" Exhibit Unveils Sapporo Visual

    Final part of three city tour opens February 9th

    To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Japanese animation studio Shaft, Inc. presented an art exhibition called "Madogatari" that combines two of their most popular anime properties. The event ran at Tokyo November 27 to December 2, 2015, followed by stops at Osaka December 22-27 then Sapporo February 9-14th at Sapporo Factory Hall, at the tail end of the 67th annual Snow Festival. The visual for the final part of this trilogy has now been revealed.

    Happy fifth anniversary to Puella Magi Madoka Magica! Heroine Madoka Kaname is still the only one of the series' mahou shoujo with an official birthday, and she got her September 30th date because it was the day that the ‘Mahou Shoujo Apocalypse Madoka☆Magica Project' proposal document was created. So, that could possibly also considered the series birthday, but  January 7th is the date of the debut of the series Magica Quartet devloped.

    To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Shaft, Inc. presented an art exhibition called "Madogatari" that combines two of their most popular anime properties: Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series. The event ran in Tokyo November 27 to December 2, 2015, followed by stops at Osaka December 22-27, then Sapporo February 9-14th. The Osaka stop features 100 more pieces of production art from the third Madoka movie, Monogatari art by and Hajime Ueda, and an updated "Type-B" of the Madoka Magica concept movie short.

    To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Japanese animation studio Shaft, Inc. presented an art exhibition called "Madogatari" that combines two of their most popular anime properties: Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series. The event ran at Tokyo's 3331 Arts Chiyoda November 27 to December 02, 2015, followed by stops at Osaka December 22-27, at Herbis Hall, then Sapporo February 9-14th. Ahead of next week's Osaka stop, the venue specific visual has been revealed.

The bombshell out of the opening was a "Madoka concept movie," which was addressed in the January issue of Newtype.
