    Aniplex Mobile presented Kaden Shoujo, a free-to-play puzzle RPG for iOS and Android devices with the premise that, in the year 20XX, a mysterious portal opened, producing chips that gave life to over 100 types of consumer electronics girls..   • Netflix Streams "Madoka Magica" and "Expelled from Paradise" Anime Movies

    "Mega Man Star Force" and "The Candidate for Goddess (Pilot Candidate)" also start streaming on Hulu

    With the start of June, streaming service Netflix has added 6 new anime titles and removed 5 for a total of 77 anime/movies. Among the notables are the Puella Magi Madoka Magica movies (recaps Beginnings and Eternal  and original Rebellion) and Expelled from Paradise, the sci-fi collaboration anime film between Toei Animation and Nitroplus directed by Seiji Mizushima  with Gen Urobuchi, from Aniplex.

  • "Madoka Magica" Character Designer Sketches "His and Her Circumstances" Leads

    Junichiro Taniguchi sends birthday greeting to fellow animation director/character designer Tadashi Hiramatsu

    Earlier today, Animator Expo announced that Tadashi Hiramatsu, an animator on Evangelion and the character designer/animation director for the 1998 Gainax adaptation of His and Her Circumstances, would be returning for a second short. This is a good excuse to look back to earlier this spring for a tribute that Junichiro Taniguchi, a fellow character designer/animation director (Madoka Magica, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) offered for Hiramatsu's March birthday.

    Tokyo's Tokai University, known for its focus on sciences and engineering, has started exploring how emotions of young girls can stop the heat death of the universe in a college-level class on Madoka Magica! Students lined up to register for the "Chi no Frontier” or Knowledge of the Frontier course from Professor Yoshio Shimizu, then crowded into a standing-room only lecture hall.
