Japanese Nu metal band Maximum the Hormone - whom anime fans may remember for the musical contributions to Airmaster, Death Note, and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F - will be resuming live performances with a new tour scheduled to hit 12 venues throughout Japan in May and June of 2017. It is confirmed today that four-member Japanese hardcore punk band Maximum The Hormone's 2008 song "F" will be featured in a battle scene of the upcoming anime film Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F (Resurrection of F). The franchise's original creator Akira Toriyama has confirmed the song inspired the story of the film. Hit the jump for more details.
Maximum the Hormone, the nu metal/hardcore punk band with songs dedicated to Dragon Ball's Freiza and themes featured on Air Master, Death Note and Akagi, are back in the US for the first time since March 2008 to play KNOTFEST USA on October 25th and in New York on 27th. On October 29th, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama caught nu metal band Maximum the Hormone at Nagoya's Electric Lady Land. After visiting the band back stage, the manga legend agreed to sketch his classic characters for the group, which they in turn shared on Twitter. Get a look after the jump.
