The weekend of Animate Girls Festival started early in the morning with photos of girls lining up for the event. Some people even called it Animate Girls Fight, but lots of good news came out of this year including the debut of new prototype figures and announcements for upcoming merchandise. Meganebu! doesn't just feature an odd premise, following the exploits of a club for cute, glasses wearing guys, it should have a distinctive look with indie anime director Soubi Yamamoto (This Boy Can Fight Aliens!, This Boy Caught a Merman) helming the project. We're finally down to the what's probably the final Meganebu! character promo! This time it's Ryohei Kimura (Valvrave's L-Elf) voiced Hayato Kimata. The spirited junior member is notable for being the only member of the titular club for eyeglasses wearing guy with perfect vision and non-corrective lenses. Get a look after the jump.
We're up to the fourth the fifth character promos for bespectacled bishonen anime Meganebu!, and perhaps the one with the biggest name attached. Junichi Suwabe voices (Fullmetal Alchemist's Greed, Hanasaku Iroha's Tarō Jirōmaru, Eccentric Family's Yashirō Shimogamo) voices the mysterious, withdrawn Yukiya Minabe. Get a look after the jump.
The Fall anime with particular attention paid to vision wear, Meganebu! has already inspired a companion event. To attend this match-making party titled MegaCon (the compound word of Megane, glasses in Japanese and Conpa, a type of party in Japanese), you have to love glasses first and actually wear a pair if you are male. In the third character promo for fall's Megabune! anime, we're introduced to Takuma Hachimine, the Atsushi Tamaru ( Mochizō Ōji in Tamako Market) voiced, laid back member of the titular eyeglasses club. Get a look after the jump.
